Micron is seeking a Product Applications Engineer to provide world class customer field team support for qualification of Micron’s portfolio of Cloud and Data Center Solid State Drives (SSD).

You will be the product technical expert in our cloud/data center product portfolio and a primary contact for the Micron customer field team for product related support.

Job Description

  • Build a collaborative relationship with the customer field team to ensure customer qualification success

  • Debug customer issues working with the customer field team to accelerate new product qualifications

  • Provide internal status on customer qualification issues

  • Product expert for features and functionality providing app notes and errata lists

  • Maintain external product firmware portal and change lists for customer teams

  • Pareto analysis of product issues to drive improvements in future products

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Good presentation skills and effective collaboration with team members

  • Team player, ambitious and self-starter

  • Desire to work with groundbreaking next generation SSD technologies

  • Desire to perform hands on debug in the lab to address customer issues

  • Proficiency using Linux and Windows operating systems

  • Experience with setting up and configuring computer hardware and software

  • Domestic travel is not frequent but, may be occasionally required

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous experience using JIRA and Confluence for bug tracking and documentation

  • Knowledgeable with debug of hardware and software issues at a system and SSD drive level

  • Microsoft Office Proficiency

  • Previous work experience in storage technology

Education

  • BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$69,000.00 - $137,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
