WSP USA Transportation Management Center Transportation Analyst II (Special Incident Coordinator) in Long Island City, New York

This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Transportation Management Center Transportation Analyst II (Special Incident Coordinator) for our Long Island City, NY office. Be involved in projects with our Mobility Operations Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact

  • Assist TMC to follow client Notification and Reporting Protocol and assist the Office of Operations and Incident Command Team

  • Interface with client staff, TMC partner agencies and other agencies and organizations to ensure the TMC has accurate and updated transportation information to report to client management and Statewide

  • Transportation Information Coordination Center (STICC)

  • Attend meetings at NYSDOT or other agency offices to become familiar with emergency management and critical incident information flows

  • Establish and maintain working relationships with transportation information contacts.

  • Coordination with client staff, TMC partner agencies, other NYC offices and agencies and TRANSCOM will be necessary to gather information related to transportation system disruptions

  • Continually update and optimize critical incident and event information sharing among TMC partners and involved parties

  • Develop and maintain a list of critical incident contacts names and phone numbers, and set up lists, tables, and procedures as necessary to prepare TMC for reporting critical incident and event information

  • Real-time traffic and resource information and coordination with Statewide and NYC emergency centers

  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures

  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma

  • TMC/Traffic/Dispatch operations with a minimum of 3 years of incident management experience in TMC/Traffic operations/emergency operations with any of the following groups: Military, Transportation, Fire, Police, EMS, 911

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Oral and written communication Computer/Software – including MS

  • Office applications, spreadsheets and databases Public, internal and external relations (works well with internal, external and partner groups and individuals)Analytical and organizational skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work with others in a team environment

  • Performing multiple tasks simultaneously and independently

Expected Salary: $38,600 - $63,690

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position within the state of Colorado, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
