Description

We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join a dynamic team in the Long Island City, New York. This is a permanent position, 5 days on site, with great benefits offered.

Responsibilities

• Accurately record and verify incoming payments, including checks and credit transactions.

• Conduct regular audits of customer accounts to ensure compliance and accuracy.

• Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments and other irregularities, initiating appropriate actions when needed.

• Engage in collection efforts for delinquent accounts, which includes customer interactions.

• Investigate and resolve any billing discrepancies that may arise.

• Generate detailed financial reports on accounts receivable status for the management team.

• Participate in monthly closing processes and financial audits.

• Follow and enforce company policies and procedures during all transactions.

• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Cash Applications, Cash Collections, and Microsoft Excel to perform duties efficiently.

Requirements

• The candidate should have an understanding of basic accounting principles.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required.

• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• The role is open to individuals with less than one year or more years of experience in a related field.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary.

• Ability to work in a team environment is necessary.

• The candidate must have the ability to meet deadlines.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
