A top-rated law firm seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Specialist to join our dynamic team. We are driven by a dedication to exceptional service and a commitment to professional excellence. We are currently looking for a skilled Medical Records Specialist with experience within the legal/healthcare fields. The ideal candidate will be responsible for obtaining medical records information for our attorneys to use in legal proceedings. The candidate must be organized and strong attention to detail. Candidates with prior legal assistant experience, focused on medical records are strongly encouraged to apply. This position is onsite Monday - Friday and will be a 4-week contract-term, before becoming a permanent role. Upon hire, the firm offers a full suite of benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Collection of personal injury client medical records/billing.

• Verify records received are accurate and complete, obtaining missed records as necessary.

• Log and maintain records in matrix for attorney use

• Complying with HIPAA, legal and ethical standards when handling patient information.

• Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and healthcare providers.

• Perform other similar duties per the request of the management.

Requirements

High school diploma

Minimum of 1+ years' experience managing medical records, preferably in a law firm environment.
