Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to contribute to our non-profit organization located in Long Beach, California. This role will involve managing and processing accounts payable, maintaining vendor information, and assisting with various accounting tasks. This position provides a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process and disburse the organization's accounts payable

• Oversee and manage the vendor tracking and payment system

• Prepare accounts for payments and ensure accurate data entry in the system

• Maintain orderly records by sorting, logging, scanning, and filing invoices, checks, and other documents

• Address and resolve accounts payable issues and correspond professionally with vendors

• Conduct timely updates and reconciliation of AP sub-ledger to G/L and AP Aged invoice report

• Handle customer service tasks for internal business partners and manage administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department

• Assist with internal and external audits as needed

• Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with organization policies

• Maintain approved vendor information, including form W-9s, 1099 reporting status, payment terms, and contact information. Requirements • Proficient in Account Coding

• Experience with Accounting Software Systems

• Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with Concur software

• Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to perform various Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Knowledge of Accrual Accounting principles

• Auditing skills

• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions
