The role supports the Construction Team to provide the Underwriters with administrative support to help ensure that all reporting and binding targets are met.

Main Tasks

  • Completing data entry of risks underwritten on to the underwriting system.

  • Sanctions checking using the corporate software

  • Achieve the agreed training program which includes:

a. Understanding the risk decisions, selection and underwriting.

b. Progressive training towards ACII qualification.

c. Attend Lloyd’s briefings on appropriate issues concerning the unit.

  • Understanding the risk decisions, selection and underwriting process and reviewing the slips written to ensure underwriting standards are maintained.

  • Maintain relevant underwriting spreadsheets.

  • Maintain, where appropriate, office files and systems.

  • Collate all relevant information required for any internal/external audits.

  • Scan on and maintain electronic files on Swordfish.

  • Assist in the maintaining and monitoring of aggregates.

  • Responsibility for contract certainty checks.

  • First point of contact for credit control issues.

  • Exception reports.

  • Reviewing underwriting information and creating a preliminary rating model for policies.

  • Contacting brokers to request information when it is missing.

  • Complete all relevant terrorism returns.

  • Representing Axis at CCAL meetings.

  • Attend Broker meetings where appropriate.

  • Use formal reporting mechanisms to promptly notify relevant parties of any perceived new risks or failures of existing control measures.

  • At all times consider the effect of any actions taken on the customers of Axis with the intention of improving their experience.

  • All Employees must endeavour to provide accurate, complete and appropriate data, in accordance with Axis’s Data Policy, as part of their roles and responsibilities at all times.

Background

Technical Knowledge
