About the Role

We seek a dynamic Marketing leader with experience coalescing cross-functional perspectives to build a strong integrated value proposition and go-to-market strategy, all while guiding teams through significant transformation and change. Reporting directly to the Chief Experience Officer (CXO), this role will lead, motivate, and further develop a team of marketers that collaborate effectively across commercial, product, and technology teams, positioning them as valued strategic partners to the business.

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic vision, innovative marketing approaches, and a customer-centric mindset to drive growth and establish a strong market presence. This role requires a leader who can navigate the competitive landscape, leverage S&P Global’s ecosystem for integrated marketing efforts and inspire a team to achieve excellence. To achieve success, this team will deploy strategies that position S&P Global Commodity Insights as the trusted partner of choice for market data and insights, build a reputation for our highly distinctive capabilities, benchmarks, and expertise, and deepen relationships with key clients.

As a member of the CX leadership team, this role will help shape and monitor journeys and experiences from prospecting to onboarding to renewal. Working closely with sales, client service, product, and technology teams, the role will use events and digital engagements to capture feedback and guide customers through moments of decision.

  • Lead an engaged, successful Marketing team, crafting culture and developing talent aligned to S&P’s purpose and values.

  • Direct the global team of marketing specialists responsible for operating at both strategic and tactical levels to generate quality pipeline, boost awareness, establish trust, and deepen client connections.

  • Plan and partner on go-to-market strategies and new releases aimed at driving business expansion in core and emerging markets, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall business and commercial objectives.

  • Translate the overall product strategy and roadmap into a clear value proposition, articulating the unique benefits and advantages of Commodity Insights’ solutions by both product area and customer segment.

  • Work closely with product management, consulting, and conferences to align marketing strategies with the evolving capability landscape, ensuring a cohesive narrative that resonates with target audiences.

  • Work closely with sales and commercial leaders to activate global demand generation and ABM strategies, executing digital, account-based, field marketing programs, and events to drive leads, opportunities, and achieve pipeline goals.

  • Work closely with customer experience and client service leaders to develop and launch retention and reactivation strategies and improve cross-selling, up-selling, and drive customer lifetime value.

  • Position Commodity Insights as thought leaders in key markets through curated content, events, and social media campaigns.

  • Develop co-marketing strategies with channel and cloud partners to amplify reach and growth in priority markets, segments, and accounts.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and lead innovation in digital marketing strategies, leveraging Generative AI to increase operational productivity and impact.

  • Align and execute targeted plans and playbooks, closely monitoring effectiveness of strategy, localization, performance, and return on marketing investment.

  • Act as customer champion, understand customer needs and inspiring change as necessary to ensure our brand is a relevant, preferred and one of the most recognized and trusted brands amongst our target audience globally.

  • Pursue and activate client insights (VOC) from surveys and market research, constantly improving our customer experience and marketing engagement.

  • Manage the complete spectrum of marketing operations from automation, lead management, and campaign orchestration to websites, data analytics, and reporting.

  • Develop the framework to manage prioritization, resource allocation and capacity management for marketing resources across the enterprise.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • 15+ years B2B marketing management and leadership experience, including managing large diverse teams across cultures and locations and influencing stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in brand management, including global reputation management and share of voice.

  • Proficiency in customer marketing, including advocacy and referral programs.

  • Proficiency in website architecture and inbound customer and data acquisition and digital marketing strategies

  • Expertise in MarTech, marketing automation and customer data platforms and integration with CRMs and EventTech.

  • Ability to translate business objectives and strategic investments into actionable plans that positively impact sales growth and performance.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, collaborating across functions and adapting to a rapidly growing organization.

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $173,000 to $300,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
