AWS is looking for an exceptional Vetting Management Administrator, with experience in processing sensitive data on a large scale within a complex environment.

This position will be working with a Vetting Management Lead to make up a small Vetting Management team, which itself forms part of a wider team of security experts working with UK customers to operate and continuously improve security programs and processes. This broader security team manages a wide range of security programs and processes including personnel security, insider risk, physical and logical accreditations, education, awareness and training, assurance, and cyber security. This position will be responsible for Vetting Management administrative tasks, processing sensitive information, managing and resolving queries and issues relating to clearances, and producing and maintaining high quality data for audit and reporting purposes. There will also be a requirement for direct engagement with UK customers, and regular liaison with colleagues across Security and beyond in AWS. The role will also require an ability to identify, design and implement improvements to Vetting Management processes.

We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated candidate who has excellent prioritisation and communication skills. The Vetting Management Administrator will have experience in vetting/security clearance management, personnel security, and the management of sensitive information. Experience working with UK customers and in a dynamic, fast-paced environment would be plus. Among other duties, the Vetting Management Administrator will:

• Process the full lifecycle of security vetting applications, including aftercare duties

• Submit inputs/outputs from the vetting database

• Produce MI reports and cascade data to internal stakeholders

• Analyse and interrogate vetting data with good attention to detail

• Provide information to external stakeholders

• Be the point of contact to provide access control to specific security controlled areas

• Contribute to the development of new documentation and processes to continually improve and optimise vetting processes

• Provide vetting-related staff briefings

Basic Qualifications

Solid experience working in the fields of security, risk, or Human Resources.

Extensive experience of processing data of a sensitive nature and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Knowledge and understanding of security culture is important.

Preferred Qualifications

An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to drive innovation independently; have a passion to improve at every opportunity.

Effective written and oral communication with multiple levels of leadership involving both business and technical sides of the business.
