Team/Role Overview
Real Estate Services (RES) within Enterprise Services & Public Affairs (ESPA) provides real estate support services to all Citigroup businesses ensuring that our solutions are cost-effective, safe, productive, and valued by our customers and colleagues. We are a people orientated organisation that appreciates and promotes personal and professional aspirations.
The UK&I Cluster, London Transition Lead, is a key role in the new International structure of Real Estate Services and is mainly responsible for ensuring the smooth transition of colleagues and services to the new Citi Tower building in Canary Wharf, which is currently under construction, and due to go live in Q1 2026. In addition, this role also includes the exit and return of Citigroup Centre back to the landlord at the end of the lease in November 2026.
What you will do
Assist Cluster Leader with the tactical operational planning with Citi Operational Teams (CSIS, BTSS, GHS, AV, CTI etc)
Develop operational strategy document key decisions tracking for elements such as Waste Management, Loading Bay – arranging workshops and following up on actions
Programme Management governance – identify gaps to assist with interface between Citi and Project leadership
Review operational strategies for each Citi Operational Team to ensure alignment with RES objectives and “one Tower” theme
Report independently to T&T project team on Operational project risks and mobilisation planning
Ensure that escalations are proactively managed and move plans are aligned with business as usual and project teams.
Co-ordinate, plan and deliver the exit of Citigroup Centre in line with lease expiry
Develop and implement Citi Tower Operational Rule Book working together with Citi Operational Teams to ensure the correct ways of working are understood and agreed for the new building
What we will need from you
Background in facilities management and real estate
Project Management
Experience working on large scale real estate projects with an understanding of the challenges around these
Ability to manage multiple workstreams in parallel
Comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function
Commercial awareness
Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary
Resource Management
Strong organisation skills
Risk Mitigation
3rd party vendor management
Education
- Bachelors degree, potentially Masters degree
