Amazon Shipping

Amazon shipping offers Amazon’s delivery capabilities as a product and service. Amazon Shipping’s first customers are sellers in the EU, offering to ship their domestic volume using our delivery network.

Amazon Shipping is looking to hire an program manager to join the leadership team to lead the ops special projects for Amazon Shipping in EU. You will be a natural self-starter who is able to translate the long term vision for Amazon shipping into a strategic and tactical integration plan for SWA and multiple middle and last mile EU Ops teams. This will require a true hands-on approach, solid stakeholder management skills, and excellent communication skills.

You will be part of the core team that will be building the Amazon Shipping Operations mid to long term strategy by working as a single threaded leader on both strategic and tactical special projects. You will help design and shape the EU SWA Ops strategy, engaging and influencing multiple stakeholders to build a shipping service provider which our customers love.

You will have a true hands-on approach, understanding of operations, solid leadership skills and the ability to communicate and engage both internal and external stakeholders. As this position involves regular interaction with senior leadership (Directors, VPs), you need to be comfortable communicating robustly whilst also working directly with various functional teams and team members at all levels of the organization across the Amazon business.

Responsibilities:

· Lead all EU SWA Ops Special Projects. Be a Thought leader in your space and be the advocate and influencer of the business with peers and partner teams.

· Improve key operational metrics by building new processes and partnerships with the Biz, Product and Ops teams.

· Build the groundwork for the future growth and evolution of the Shipping operations by working on forward looking projects and initiatives.

. Develop and implement an internal and external communications strategy for the team.

· Develop structural plans and routines to ensure all strategic and tactical programs are being delivered on schedule and to the standards expected.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Experience in program or project management

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Advanced communication skills - written and verbal. Ability to engage large set of stakeholders and teams.

  • Organization skills, ability to prioritize

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

  • Experience leading process improvements
