AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

As a Senior Executive Engagement Leader, you will seek to understand our customer’s and partner’s needs, their missions, how success is defined, and ensure that we are exceeding expectations in developing and delivering solutions. You will collaborate across roles to understand their mission objectives and define project goals.

You will be comfortable working on multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-energy, global environment with a high degree of ambiguity. You will use your management and leadership capabilities to successfully execute project plans, remain sensitive to key stakeholder needs, resolve issues, and escalate when appropriate. You will work to exceed customer and partner expectations by enabling stakeholder’s capabilities and increasing cloud adoption.

A successful candidate will high judgment and thrive in an ambiguous environment. They can develop, implement and iterate processes and mechanisms to improve the way we engage with our partners and customers. They will have experience managing C-Suite engagements while being compelling and comfortable in a creative brainstorming environment, and experienced in the technology industry.

We are seeking to hire a highly motivated leader to build processes and mechanisms on our Professional Services Executive Engagement team. As core member of the Professional Services Executive Engagement team, you will be owning crucial elements of the Day to Day AWS business. This position requires an experienced, customer-obsessed professional to support demand for its Executive Engagement function working directly with our most strategic customers and partners - helping them envision what’s possible and innovate with us to make those visions reality. The role will also require leading executive engagements working with Executive Leaders within the Professional Services organization. This role will require a high degree of strategy, operational excellence, communications expertise, project management and collaboration skills.

Key job responsibilities

  • Ability to build relationships with various customer and internal AWS stakeholders which consists of senior leadership teams (C-level execs, SVP/VP, Directors) and project level resources such as SMEs.

  • Coordination across multiple stakeholders to bring the right experts to discussions to maximize productivity.

  • Obsessively improve customer and partner interactions by capturing feedback, iterating, and developing a continuous improvement cycle.

  • Assist with generation and preparation of regular reports on progress and status for internal stakeholders.

  • Constantly innovate and improve mechanisms, suggesting new ideas and best practices for improving the business and customer/partner engagement.

  • Effectively communicate customer and stakeholder recommendations, drive consensus, and garner support through exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal skills, while balancing tradeoffs.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or have a minimum of 8+ years of relevant professional or military experience.

  • 8+ years of experience in a relevant consulting or industry role, working with senior business and technology leaders including C-suite level.

  • 5+ years of experience in designing and structuring senior-level business engagements that have directly supported strategic outcomes.

  • 5+ years of experience developing organizational strategies that directly influence leadership decision-making and measurable organizational impact.

  • 5+ years of experience collaborating across technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within a high-growth, technology company or tech consulting company.

  • Experience fostering collaboration and driving consensus at the C-Suite level.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.

  • Business acumen, analytical skills, reliability and sound judgment.

  • Experience with influencing without authority and lead strategic priorities through to results.
