The Amazon Business team is dedicated to developing solutions that make it easy for business customers to buy on Amazon through an Amazon Business Account. We focus on building solutions that enable business customers to rethink current strategies, tools and processes for Purchasing and innovate to be fit for the future. Our Customers include individual professionals, small businesses and large institutions. Our business Customers have different needs than Amazon retail/consumer Customers, and we reinvent everything from how we display our selection, price our products and provide the right customer experience to serve this segment.
To support our business growth, we are looking for a Senior / Professional Services Project Manager for a full time (40 hours/week) individual contributor position. You will work with high potential Customers with the most complex requirements within Amazon Business solutions, helping them achieve their business goals for Procurement, Finance and Digitalisation by utilising Amazon Business. You will lead large-scale projects to analyze, define and implement innovative solutions for our B2B customers. You will also work closely with internal Amazon Business and Amazon teams to respond to and address Customer needs and requirements, (incl. Sales, Product Management, Category Management, Solutions Architects and Amazon Business Leadership) to drive and prioritize solutions for Amazon Business Customers. You need to be fully fluent in French, excel at project management, be able to coordinate a large number of stakeholders, influence without authority, plan, organize, and manage all phases of a project (including project scoping, issue handling, risk management, escalation and change management). You will enjoy problem solving on behalf of Customers, have experience in working with senior stakeholders and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding project / programme goals and customer spend expectations.
The Senior / Professional Services Manager is accountable for the following aspects of each project:
• Assess current purchasing processes for customers, evaluating opportunities for Amazon Business solutions to improve end user experiences, reduce costs, and accelerate organization performance
• Drive and accelerate spend adoption through advising Customers on best practices for using Amazon Business solutions
• Define requirements and scope project for utilizing AB solutions
• Oversee programme execution including resource requests, project scheduling, and timely delivery
• Provide timely, clear and concise and complete communications to Customer and Amazon Business Leadership where required
• Assess project risks, anticipate challenges and manage timely escalations when necessary
• Focus on automating service needs for Customers and on more complex engagements, work with Product Management and Technical teams to develop solutions that will increase customer adoption
• Ensure each launch prepares the Customer to achieve their targets and adopt Amazon Business as planned, including feature adoption and spend
• Relay market needs and requirements back to internal Amazon teams including Product Management, Technical and Category Management teams
Key job responsibilities
Senior Professional Services Managers manage a portfolio of concurrent business integrations, balancing resources and priorities across many demanding customers. A time-bound resource, they work autonomously on a project basis to deliver Amazon Business' most complex, integrated and high potential value Customers. They are assigned a Customer project, submitted by the Customer's Account Manager and with whom they will connect internally, aligning on the requirement and to agree a project start date. Senior Professional Services Managers then own the project management of that Customer assignment, scoping the based on the Customer's procurement objectives in using Amazon Business, or implementing account requirements informed by Solutions Consulting design.
Skilled at problem solving, they recommend, build, test and deliver the best Amazon Business account functionality to support the Customer's goals. Senior Professional Services Managers may secure the services of our Solutions Architects and Partner Management teams to support on technical integrations and support the customer throughout the project build. On account readiness and in preparation for the Customer's Amazon Business account launch, the Senior Professional Services Manager will deploy our internal Training resource to create and deliver launch activities and/or training for the Customer's Admin / Accounts Payable Team and end users, ensuring successful account deployment. Senior Professional Services Managers then track account adoption and performance until satisfied that the solution delivered meets the Customer needs, iterating where required to support Customer’s change management needs. Senior Professional Services Managers work with Customers from every industry and vertical and must not just be an expert in the Amazon Business product, but a passionate advocate for our Customers and their experience. Your learnings will be shared with both colleagues and Amazon Business Product teams to improve not only Senior Professional Services offerings, but the wider Amazon Business customer experience.
A day in the life
Start the day with an Account Manager call, whose customer you have been assigned, aligning on project approach and kick off date. Your next call is cXML invoice testing with a Customer - you work through testing scenarios with the India-based Systems Integrations team then agree a go live date. After lunch you review the launch metrics including user engagement with a customer’s Head of Procurement whose account went live last week, troubleshooting onboarding issues. You call a colleague in another EU locale to agree the scope of a shared internal project and end the day by updating your Financial Force Resource Planner, forecasting available bandwidth.

Basic Qualifications
Experience positioning and selling innovative solutions to new and existing customers and market segments
Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
French or German C1+ level
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of procurement and source to pay processes and solutions or equivalent experience
Experience identifying trends and needs to improve an already closed large-scale technology deal
Experience in B2B or enterprise sales with a focus on hunting new business
