The Amazon Supply Chain and Operations, Risk, Compliance Analytics team is looking for a creative problem solver, analytical and technically skilled Business Intelligence Engineer to join our dynamic team.

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer who will be responsible to develop Data Analytics and Business Intelligence solutions to lead operations, risk and compliance BI processes.

You should have very good communication skills and ability to adjust communication style to different groups of stakeholders as you will be collaborating with data engineers, data scientists and business managers to evaluate their needs and objectives in order to provide accurate insights in the emerging regulations and compliance field.

To be successful in the role, you will need deep analytical skills and a strong scientific background.

The role also requires excellent communication skills, and an ability to influence across business functions at different levels.

You will work in a fast-paced environment that requires you to be detail-oriented and comfortable in working with technical, business and technical teams.

Key job responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

Design and develop Business Intelligence and Data Analytics solutions to monitor and continuously improve our business health.

Develop, adapt and execute mathematical models tools to optimize our future Operations, Risk and Compliance processes.

Consult and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders across multiple teams to define future improvements for product, trade and legal compliance mechanisms.

Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to diverse senior stakeholders through technical and/or business papers.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative/technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Statistics, OR, Engineering).

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, Proficiency with SQL,ETL management and programming languages with a focus on data analytics (Python, R, Java etc.)

  • Proven expertise in data visualization platforms e.g., Tableau, QuickSight, QlikSense and PowerBI

  • Expertise in modern data warehousing techniques (dimensional data modelling, experience with ETL, etc.)

  • Familiarity with Data Science, mathematical modelling and statistical modelling.

  • Sharp analytical abilities, excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple business units

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of how to improve code quality and optimizes BI processes (e.g. speed, cost, reliability)

  • Knowledge on modelling techniques
