Senior Broker-US Energy Casualty

What the day will look like

  • Review Submission

  • Lead quote broking / Follow market broking

  • Present terms to client / network

  • Firm Order broking (PPL / email)

  • Record broking activity in market sheets

  • Review draft / final MRC

  • Send Cover confirmation to client/network

  • Provide benchmarking and placement advice to clients

  • Client meetings

  • Establish and manage pipeline

Unlike some of our peers, our global office network provides an automatic constant account flow into London. You'll be joining a vibrant, magnetic team, where communication is key, and opportunities are rife within both the US Energy Casualty team and the broader firm. The job includes opportunity to travel, meet US Fortune 100 companies who ultimately are placing their trust in our broking capabilities and expertise within a dynamic and innovative environment. We are constantly looking to innovate and build upon our already extensive product portfolio.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • c10 years market broking experience within the US and/or International Casualty Energy marketplace

  • Knowledge in all the Up/Mid/Downstream sectors is preferred along Utilities and Renewables experience

  • Sound understanding of London insurance market dynamics and core processes

  • Ability to use insurance industry IT systems to efficiently deliver client service

  • Experience of managing effective client relationships.

  • Ability to structure complex placement programmes with the best client outcomes in mind at all times

  • Good understanding of compliance and FCA regulation

  • Ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team
