Your opportunity
Reporting into one of our Senior Finance managers, this is a key role in our team and one that provides excellent opportunity for growth and development
We are looking for someone who can become a subject matter expert on the revenue earned from our global fund ranges
This will involve building excellent relationships with people in Janus Henderson as well as liaising with our information providers
Ensure revenue is recognised accurately in the firm’s books, from accrual through to payment, including the production of invoices, debtor reporting, variance analysis as well as accurate rebate and commission accounting from accrual through to payment
Be a key point of contact for the auditors, for both group, local statutory entity and Sarbanes Oxley perspective, with exposure to reporting under US GAAP, IFRS and local GAAPs
Support Finance transformation through participating in current state and future state assessment activities
Creation of current state assessment document with all the gaps including process, technology, controls and change documented
Develop future state process maps and document key design decisions
Work with process owners to identify and resolve all emerging issues on transformation program
Carry out other duties as assigned

Must have skills
A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent), with significant post qualification experience in financial control
Good working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Experience of partnering with Senior Management
Advanced competency with Microsoft Excel and proficiency with other Microsoft outlook tools
Strong analytical skills with the ability to accumulate, organise and assimilate large amounts of data
Ability to work accurately and independently with excellent attention to detail and pride in presentation and delivery of work papers
Results driven approach, including ability to make enhancements and improvements to processes and increase transparency of analysis
Ability to get up to speed quickly, but also enthusiasm to take time to understand the area and its requirements
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and work with the team – and with others at Janus Henderson
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Nice to have skills
Experience working in a global organisation
Investment Management industry experience desirable
Experience of working in a SOX environment preferred but not required
Proficiency with Power BI or other financial reporting software
Proficiency with SAP (ERP, BPC and BAO) will be beneficial
