Description

Amazon.com is seeking a Retirement Benefits Manager to join the International Retirement and Savings Team in London. This hands-on individual contributor role who will be a subject matter expert. They will partner extensively with internal stakeholders and external consultants/vendors to execute on all retirement benefit matters and regulatory requirements for our International retirement programs for the European region.

Qualified candidates will need to have prior pension/retirement program management experience and the ability to utilize data to make recommendations for improvements that will benefit our employees.

The candidate will be responsible for plan design, governance and committee/fiduciary oversight; improving the employee experience and have oversight of investment fund management, across multiple EU countries.

The ideal candidate must have strong critical thinking skills, superior attention to detail with sound judgement, highly organized, analytical, excellent written and verbal communication skills. They will have the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment whilst having a strong passion for the employee experience.

Key job responsibilities

  • Program Management – Develop and implement plan design solutions that improve the overall performance of our retirement and vendors: through bench-marking, investment performance monitoring and vendor communication strategies. Participate in and/or lead local RFI/RFPs with working groups consisting of Amazon internal business stakeholders.

  • Employee Experience - Drive initiatives and lead education and awareness campaigns supporting our plan vendors to ensure our employees are able to make informed choices with their long-term savings.

  • Corporate Governance – Develop and implement frameworks for a corporate governance and committee level advisement, ensure local plans are administered in compliance with plan documents & applicable regulations whilst providing advise on current trends and global best operational practices.

  • Compliance – Manage and execute on international retirement/savings related projects, audits and compliance reviews, acting as a subject expert to support operational teams performing or managing audits.

Basic Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience of program management within retirement benefits, ideally within the EU.

  • Have led or supported RFI/RFP vendor performance and selection processes.

  • Hold relevant qualification either within retirement and pensions, compliance and risk, pension operations

  • Experience of managing vendor and consult relationships

  • Demonstrated end-end program or project management experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the proven ability to effectively manage, influence, negotiate and communicate with business partners and teams at all levels

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Strong business judgment and a practical, common sense approach to solving complex problems

  • Flexibility, sharp organizational and process-oriented skills, and a self-starting work ethic

  • Strong analytical and data gathering skills

  • Demonstrated passion for delivering a great customer experience

  • Experience developing policies and supporting documentation
