Netflix Marketing Manager, UK in London, United Kingdom

It’s an exciting time to join Netflix as we continue shaping the future of global entertainment. Our approach to marketing is to defy convention, disrupt industry norms and break new ground through innovative, culturally relevant, breakthrough campaigns.

The Role

Netflix has been building conversation-driving creative TV and film campaigns in the UK for 10 years. For the first time we’re looking for the right person to help us develop multi-channel work focused specifically on our brand and slate in the UK & Ireland.

This role will work closely with our marketing title leads, to create standout work for Netflix, in line with our evolving annual marketing direction. This could be anything from a specific audience-first slate campaign, a project more geared towards brand love or guidance on creative ways we can attribute our titles back to Netflix.

You will become an expert in our upcoming slate, as well as how we deliver our brand promise in everything we do. We are not looking for “brand police”, we’re not that kind of team, but you will provide welcome information, advice and inspiration to teams on how to best show up for Netflix.

Responsibilities

  • Ideation and management of brand and slate campaigns in the UK. Encompassing creative, advertising and stunts. Working closely with cross functional teams including publicity, events, partnerships, social, production and your global counterparts.

  • A deep knowledge of our upcoming slate. Identifying opportunities and supporting leadership in prioritisation, and representing the slate within internal and external forums.

  • Management of our weekly reactive activities including slotting titles within our media inventory.

  • Briefing and managing the production of slate assets, presentations and sizzles.

  • The UK team’s brand guidelines and promise expert. Liaising with our global team on the latest developments and advising the UK team on use cases.

  • As a small team, you may from time to time be asked to work on titles across our film, series and games slate.

Who we are looking for

  • A proactive self-starter, curious about all aspects of the business with an entrepreneurial mindset.

  • You are not afraid to get your hands dirty. We are a moderately sized nimble team who thrive in both upper funnel strategy and the day-to-day work.

  • A natural team leader, with the ability to conceptualise and articulate creative strategy and production that all will rally around.

  • You are able to make wise and informed decisions, even when faced with ambiguity.

  • Our marketing north star is to drive conversation and nurture fandoms. This requires a creative brain. We will encourage you to try new things in order to do the best work of your life.

  • With many titles and contacts across the business, ensuring you keep organised across your planning, communication and reporting is essential.

  • As an expert in our slate, you will be a close partner to cross functional departments and often be required to confidently and passionately represent our slate and marketing during internal and external presentations.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years managing strategy and roll out of culturally impactful marketing campaigns (at least 2 years within the UK).

  • A proven track record of launching 360-campaigns, from strategy development and building briefs, and tactical execution.

  • Experience in building brand strategies, or working on brand-led campaigns, ideally within the entertainment industry.
