About the Opportunity
Nuclear Power Programmes is one of the newest Business Units within Jacobs and has been formed with the vision to support positive change and help shape the future of Nuclear Power.
Operational throughout the UK and across continental Europe, we are seeking to expand our team on a variety of nuclear projects, which range in technologies and that find themselves at different stages of their development. To do this, we are seeking to continuously employ talented individuals to join our diverse team that are excited about nuclear projects and are committed to Net Zero, and Energy Security.
The role is to support the Framework Director to manage the development and delivery of all Framework strategies and solutions to support growth and meet the business plan objectives. The NPP Framework / Operations Manager will engage with the wider team to ensure all Framework requirements are understood correctly and properly, to deliver high-standard services. Key responsibilities:
Provide professional framework management and direction to the Project Team regarding their individual projects
Day to day monitoring of the framework’s internal and external project management consultants and technical advisors, ensuring they are compliant with project delivery processes
Ensure that there are sufficient and appropriate framework management controls in place to enable effective project delivery to time and budget
Develop framework management tools to enable feedback, whilst monitoring both the activity spend on the Framework and the delivery of Value for money and savings
Advise; prepare information/management reports for the line manager and project boards
Represent Jacobs at a framework level, supplier’s reviews and bidder forums
Develop, capture, and communicate innovation and best practice in the framework
Participate in the refinement, improvement, development and implementation of the business plan for the future of the Framework
Produce quarterly Framework newsletters driving interest and engagement
Selection and assignment of relevant project resources, matching of PM skills to the challenges of the project
Ensure that all projects are reviewed in a monthly project review (PR) or other agreed basis in order to identify current and anticipated problems
Minimize Unbilled and Accrued Revenue (AR) at Framework level
Maximize client satisfaction with work done, initiate and implement work process improvements
Here’s what you’ll need :
Strong leadership, collaborative and team working skills
Planning and organisational ability
Good communication skills both written and oral, and the abilities to speak articulately and confidently
Excellent financial and numeracy skills
Ability to analyse information and use data effectively to inform decision making
Experience in a variety of programme/project delivery and/or Operational / Framework roles
Delivered performance excellence and demonstrable business growth
Experienced at operating in senior roles/levels
