Team/Role Overview

The Financial Planning and Analysis Senior Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for leading and delivering the development of models for Data & Analytics related to Client Returns.

The overall objective is to contribute to directional strategy as well as utilise in-depth specialty knowledge to provide advice/counsel on the evaluation of Citi’s clients performance.

This position requires collaboration with various teams within the Firm (Markets, Banking, Services, Client) to align, coordinate, challenge and implement results with components of the data management and analytics framework.

This hands-on role will be responsible for identifying, anticipating, challenging, and mitigating risks related to data that could affect business objectives, and minimising operational challenges for data acquisition / quality / maintenance / management etc. This role will also be responsible for the application of in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new data techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function.

What you’ll do

  • Lead various Data efforts, including database administration, data analysis, maintenance, data quality and database management or database architecture / design engineering.

  • Follow and enhance standard guidelines, best practices and identify / resolve data related issues in a timely manner.

  • Manage work flow or process change and redesign, of the multiple data feeds & analytics. Accountable for regular reporting and process administration

  • Work with the Technology team and partner with Data Quality team to implement projects.

  • Manage day-to-day work of junior employees, but will not typically have formal management role.

  • Evaluate complex issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information.

  • Develop relationships with key partners and senior management to influence behaviour and decision making.

  • Prepare presentations and analysis for the team and in support of the CFO organisation.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

What we’ll need from you

  • Ability to think strategically, creatively problem solve, and the ability to engage resources outside of their direct control to achieve objectives.

  • Experience with Bank’s Data systems and data architecture and prior work experience in a quantitative field is a plus.

  • Understanding of the Markets/Investment Banking products and customer life cycle.

  • Fluency in Financial and Capital data for a Financial Institution.

  • Strong analytical skills in order to filter prioritise and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources.

  • Excellent communication and diplomacy skills.
