The Role

We have an exciting opportunity in Willis for a role within our Directors and Officers (D&O) team.

This individual will work within the Contracts Advisory Team primarily to spearhead the delivery of leading-edge policy wordings and associated documents. The role also requires the provision of technical support and advice to clients and colleagues.

This role will suit candidates with at least three years’ experience in a similar role with a broker or insurance company or at a law firm in a team specializing in insurance.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Conduct Risk: To put the interests of clients and the integrity of the market at the heart of the way you do business

Key Responsibilities:

  • review and production of bespoke wordings for all types of Commercial D&O placements worldwide (this will predominately be with regards to Directors & Officers Liability including Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs) and Private Equity Companies, but will also include Pension Trustee Liability, Employment Practice Liability and Commercial Crime).

  • production of documentation that supports the delivery of a wording, such as a summary of key wording enhancements.

  • support company growth by analyzing prospect wordings and delivering wording observations.

  • assist colleagues in the negotiation of the agreement of the wording, including the resolution of any queries that pertain to the wording.

  • assist in-house lawyer in the innovation and development of new wording products.

  • undertake research and development practices in order to produce best in market wordings within the Commercial D&O sector.

  • undertake wording comparisons and the subsequent production of comparison reports.

  • review and provide detailed analysis on any newly launched insurer wordings.

  • keep up to date with new developments in law and new client exposures.

  • share knowledge with and provide technical training to colleagues as and when needed.
