Stantec Director / Senior Associate - Public Transport in London, United Kingdom

Stantec is currently seeking a Director or Senior Associate level Public Sector Transport Specialist to join us in any of our offices across the UK. This is a key position in our Infrastructure Business, supporting the delivery of public transport consultancy advice as part of our Business Plan and Growth Strategy.

You will be a Public Transport leader with a focus on road-based services and have responsibility for building and delivering growth in our public transport markets – collaborating with our Economics and Business Case specialists.

You will identify priority targets for the development of key public transport relationships, and developing new business opportunities through targeted pursuits, client plans, direct appointments, frameworks and other routes to market.

You will raise the Stantec profile in the public transport sector through the delivery of targeted marketing campaigns and thought leadership activities aligned with the Stantec’s corporate brand.

You will oversee the successful technical delivery of our current portfolio of public transport projects in both public and private sectors and ensure continuity and growth of workload while effectively managing new and existing client relationships and increasing repeat business. You will take the lead on public transport focused multi-disciplinary bids and projects.

About You

You will be qualified with a relevant degree and professional qualification, or have an extensive career history which demonstrates senior presence in the public transport industry (especially bus).

You will have detailed knowledge of the regulatory environment, delivery and preparation of strategies, specification of services, operation, and funding of public transport services (especially bus) including scheduling, impact assessment, fleet and depot maintenance requirements, and revenue collection.

You will ideally have ‘hands on’ experience with public transport operators or through working for a local authority. You will have extensive contacts throughout public transport industry to support work-winning activities across the UK.

You will have the ability to lead bids and work collaboratively with others to prepare successful bids in the public and private sectors with evidence of innovation, challenging assumptions and resolving risk. You will be commercially driven with extensive experience of managing and directing projects in the consultancy sector with responsibility for meeting time, cost and quality requirements.

You will have experience in growing work areas and leading teams to support growth of Stantec UK’s transport business.
