About the Director of Sales & Marketing role

The Director of Sales & Marketing plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and maximising occupancy through strategic sales and marketing initiatives. You will lead the Sales and Marketing team in creating, defining, and implementing comprehensive strategies to attract guests, increase bookings, and enhance brand visibility. Duties and tasks will include:

· Leading the sales team in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including corporate accounts, MICE, and leisure sales

· Overseeing the development and launch of marketing campaigns and promotional activities to increase brand awareness

· Forging strong relationships with key clients, corporate accounts, and industry partners

· Regularly reviewing the hotel’s commercial strategy, identifying new revenue streams and maximising the profitability of the hotel and positioning on the market.

· Manage the sales & marketing budget in collaboration with the General Manager

· Managing all aspects of the sales and marketing team including hiring, training, performance and building capabilities

About you

You will have a proven track record in a similar role in the luxury five-star market. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is a firm understanding of negotiating and influencing skills. You will be creative and a natural leader, with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Understanding of key-markets such as UK, USA and Middle East.
