Description
We’re looking for a motivated, customer-obsessed, analytical Digital Marketing Manager to develop and deliver marketing programs that delight our customers and deepen their relationship with Amazon Ads. Amazon Ads operates at the intersection of ecommerce and ads, offering a rich array of digital ads solutions with the goal of helping our customers find and discover anything they want to buy. A strategically important part of our charter is to drive adoption across a portfolio of self-service, cost per click ads products to enable head to tail advertisers to engage with customers in relevant ways. The Digital Marketing Manager will design, test, and scale best-in-class marketing campaigns and programs, to drive effective customer experience. You will flex your analytical and creative abilities as you design, experiment and build out marketing programs that help customers discover all the products and services that Amazon Ads offers.
This is a high impact, high visibility role and the ideal candidate would have experience working closely with marketing, product, analytics, and technology teams to build out and optimize programs over time. You will also cross-share learning with Global teams to share best practices and insights.
Key job responsibilities
Plan, design, and execute cross-channel marketing initiatives that drive adoption of Amazon Ads solutions.
Leverage modern marketing automation tools to build multi-step campaigns that inform advertisers of new product developments, promotions, and optimization opportunities
Partner with program owners throughout Amazon Ads and own the channel strategy to iterate and test different ways to communicate key messages
Work and think cross-channel, targeting the messaging to the appropriate media or mix of media where necessary.
Optimize against key metrics including CTR, open rates, attribution metrics, and engagement.
Leverage in-house CRM tools to increase campaign performance.
Track best practices, monitor industry trends, and make recommendations
Provide clear, consistent, and frequent communication with stakeholders to outline strategy, tactics, goals, and performance of campaigns.
A day in the life
The ideal candidate will be able to work at the strategic level (generating bold and innovative ideas for growth) and at the tactical level (creating and managing campaigns with marketing automation tools, analyzing customer engagement data, and solving problems). The Digital Marketing Manager should be passionate about the customer and must have proven marketing automation experience, analytical capabilities, project management skills and the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will need to be a strong communicator who can earn trust with key stakeholders across multiple teams and be able to automate and scale to drive personalized, contextual, and relevant messages to customers.

Basic Qualifications
Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
Experience managing or working within cross-functional marketing and creative teams
Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or other related area
Basic SQL knowledge
Ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment where not all processes and procedures are clearly defined. Agility to change directions quickly as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience equally comfortable building strategic marketing plans and executing at a tactical level
Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs
Good understanding of SQL and data processing tools
Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly evolving industry and business organization
Attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
