Responsibilities
Mayo Clinic Healthcare in London has a new and exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager (BDM) to join the Business Development team! The Business Development team is responsible for the demand generation for services available and for support of the design and development of the growth strategy for MCH.
The BDM will support the strategy through management of the sales pipeline, patient enquiry management, data analysis and market positioning of the brand. The BDM will act as the part of the ‘International Front Door’ for patients looking to access the Mayo brand both locally and internationally.
The BDM is accountable for the implementation of the vision, mission and values of Mayo Clinic and the Business Development Team. The BDM plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates the operational and fiscal activities of the Business Development team to ensure high quality service. The BDM is responsible for their team's component of the total budget, advocates for and allocates available resources to promote efficient, effective, service to the patient. The role includes ongoing collaboration and communication, utilizing participative decision making. The Manager acts as a resource and facilitates collaboration between the Business Development team and other disciplines throughout the organization and within the healthcare community.
The key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
Act as first point of contact for patient enquiries received via web submission, telephone and email, within agreed turnaround timescale.
Manage the conversion of enquiries to bookings (Initial consultations, imaging, diagnostics) as appropriate, ensuring conversion rate targets are achieved.
Manage provision of pricing information and patient documentation for self-pay patients.
Produce, analyse and interpret enquiry data on a weekly basis to establish activity and trends to develop and execute account plans to facilitate growth.
Provide support to, and proactively work with, commercial, marketing, operational and clinical colleagues to identify gaps in specialty provision based on enquiry data and market intelligence.
Manage complaints and queries received by the Business Development team as required to ensure a speedy and satisfactory resolution.
Ensure that the Mayo Clinic Healthcare Client Relationship Manager is maintained with up-to-date information and work with marketing / IT colleagues to amend as appropriate.
Work alongside the Director of Business Development to develop and grow the Referrer network (GPs, Concierge companies, AHPS etc.) acting as the relationship support manager, tracking volumes and revenue generated from contracted referrers.
Support with Mayo Clinic Healthcare events including design and development of an appropriate programmes to meet the needs of the multiple audiences, tracking success rates and outcomes.
Qualifications
The Business Development Manager will be a motivated, enthusiastic and driven individual, who is an excellent communicator with strong influencing skills. The post holder will demonstrate professionalism and be proactive in their approach, maintaining and forming new relationships with consultants, their practise teams and internal colleagues to ensure a seamless service is provided. They will have a ‘can-do’ approach to managing the workload and a supportive management style to develop the team.

Minimum Education and/or Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, sales, healthcare, or related field required.
Five years of professional sales experience with a proven sales record.
Experience in UK/London healthcare services business development.
Additional Experience and/or Qualifications:
Demonstrated capabilities in planning, forecasting, unsupervised problem-solving and decision-making, managing and setting multiple priorities.
Experience with producing and using business development, marketing and communications materials to support sales goals.
Excellent human relations skills to interact effectively with high level contacts within and outside Mayo Clinic with tact and sensitivity to handle difficult issues with diplomacy and consistency.
Leadership/management experience with progressive increase in responsibilities preferred.

Compensation Detail
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The salary range is £55,240-£63,214.
