What You Will Do
As a BMS Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in both the development and expansion of our service base, as well as in major new construction projects. This role offers a dynamic and challenging environment, providing opportunities for personal and professional growth within our successful business unit. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of onsite project delivery within your region, collaborating closely with our engineering and subcontractor teams. The successful candidate will build strong working relationships with various site professionals and manage all logistical aspects of the construction phase to ensure smooth and efficient project execution.

How You Will Do It
Oversee logistical needs, site presence, and progress including daily updates, toolbox talks, and deliveries
Delegate tasks and manage team progress and schedules
Meet regularly with clients, third parties, and managers to report on progress, attend coordination meetings, and address challenges
Ensure high standards in project execution, setting targets, and managing team performance
Regularly review project timelines, budgets, and risks with the project manager
Provide necessary documentation and support for variations and payment applications
Conduct site inspections to ensure quality and adherence to health and safety guidelines
Drive standardization and best practices across the organization
Handle both office and construction site responsibilities
Perform pre-construction site surveys and contribute to project planning
Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and vendors
Maintain relevant certifications (e.g., SMSTS, PASMA, First Aid at Work, ECS Gold)
What We Look For
Essential:
At least 3 years of site supervision experience in construction, with a background in BMS and control systems
Strong ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical details to non-technical audiences
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience in managing large projects with multiple stakeholders
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong people skills and a proactive, detail-oriented attitude
Experience managing health and safety in construction
Valid ECS/CSCS Card, SSSTS, PASMA/IPAF
Desirable:
Experience in datacentres or critical infrastructure environments
Familiarity with document control platforms (e.g., Aconex, Viewpoint)
Knowledge of BMS products
First Aid & SMSTS certifications
