Citigroup AVP - Wholesale Credit Risk In-Business QA Stakeholder Reporting in London, United Kingdom

Institutional Credit Management’s (“ICM”) objective is to provide an integrated “end-to-end” credit underwriting, identification, measurement, management, monitoring and reporting for wholesale credit businesses across the enterprise. Wholesale Credit Risk In-Business Quality Assurance is an integral part of the ICM organization.

The Wholesale Credit Risk In-Business Quality Assurance function (QA) verifies that established standards and processes are followed and consistently applied. It is a 1LoD function that provides an independent quality assurance capability over 1LoD Wholesale Credit Risk management practices. To drive ‘excellence’, we enable proactive identification of any Wholesale Credit Risk control issues across first line and deliver end-to-end strategic value across the Wholesale Credit Risk Framework. The results help management identify operational weaknesses, risk associated with the area, training needs and process deficiencies.

The role will help support the execution of the reporting strategy across the function for the consistent delivery of high quality, concise and insight-led and actionable reporting for Wholesale Credit Risk In-Business QA. This role reports directly to the In-Business QA Practices and Governance Head - Methodology and Stakeholder Reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Stakeholder Reporting area in the accurate, complete and timely production of QAR Reports and QAR Update Reports in line with the In-Business QA Methodology, identifying and escalating issues where applicable

  • Build, develop partnership and work collaboratively with the respective QA teams to assist in the reporting process as part of the delivery of the QARs in the In-Business QA Coverage Plan

  • Contribute to the production of thematic QAR Reporting for In-Business QA

  • Support the production of quarterly governance forum within In-Business QA to monitor risk assessments and changes in In-Business QA coverage plan

  • Assist in the production of In-Business QA’s inputs for the periodic submission of committee papers, support the preparation ensuring a succinct summary of key themes/items for attention is provided supported by accurate and insightful analysis

  • Support in the oversight of the end-to-end ownership of QA reporting including ad-hoc management and regulatory reporting to senior management: support the preparation ensuring a succinct summary of key themes/items for attention is provided supported by accurate and insightful analysis.

  • Assist in embedding efficient processes for collating information for reporting, including maintaining centralized trackers and driving global reporting initiatives with a focus on continuous improvement through the consideration/adoption of innovative solutions to drive process efficiency and improvement of report content/format and production processes.

  • Assist with the continuous improvement and enhancement of Wholesale Credit Risk In-Business QA reporting desk procedures and controls to drive effective QA reporting and governance standards

  • Develop effective working relationships, to enable smooth co-ordination of reporting activities, as well as building a knowledge of QA to drive insightful reporting.

  • Support the Global Head of WCR In-Business QA on internal projects and initiatives

  • Support WCR In-Business QA Voice of the Employee (VOE) as well as diversity and inclusion initiatives

  • Travel (less than 10%)

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Demonstrable quantitative and data gathering experience including of reporting functions, issue identification and report, and/or quality assurance and quality control

  • Strong understanding of the dynamics and details of the ICM, covered portfolios, and processes

  • Report writing experience and ability to write concisely and in a succinct manner

  • Solid ability to produce complex reports both timely and accurately

  • Strong and thorough knowledge of Citi´s risk system reporting

  • Full awareness and adherence to the control environment including Quality Assurance and Quality Control

Knowledge:

  • Demonstrable quantitative and data gathering experience including, 3-5 years of reporting functions, issue identification and/or quality assurance and quality control

  • Knowledge of Wholesale Credit Processes and organizational awareness, covered portfolios, and processes

  • Understanding of policies and procedures with the ability to execute change seamlessly

  • Experience in provision of high quality ‘Management Information’, delivering accurate data analytics and reporting to senior internal and external stakeholders, under tight deadlines and potentially multiple competing priorities.

  • Experience in working with large data sets to identify emerging trends, uncover new patterns, and generate data-driven visualizations that are effective in translating numbers into actionable insights

  • Ideally, conceptual grasp of the markets and lending wholesale credit risk covered process, to evaluate findings within the Quality Assurance process, determine materiality, and partnering with in-line makers and checkers for ongoing improvement, problem detection, and sustainable remediation

  • Awareness and adherence to the control environment including Quality Assurance and Quality Control

  • Strategic orientation to ensure the ICM organization continues to be positioned as a thoughtful and proactive partner on driving best practices to support safety and soundness within ICM and Citi

  • Assists colleagues in identifying stretch opportunities to elevate individual and team performance and recognizes individuals based on performance.

Technical:

Qualifications:

  • BA/BSc or higher degree in Business (MBA), or any other related subject
