Aviation Surveyor
The Role
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Aircraft Engineer or Aviation Insurance Specialist to join our business in the role of an Aviation Surveyor. You will investigate and report on aviation incidents/accidents that are subject to insurance claims and provide aviation technical services and expertise to our clients.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Travel to / attend accident or incident sites or repair stations, as necessary, to thoroughly investigate the circumstances and cause of loss and to survey and assess damage, potential repair costs and/or salvage value.
Evaluate, negotiate, monitor, supervise and agree aircraft recovery options, repair workscopes, supplementary costs and wreckage disposal or salvage sale.
Provide detailed and timely reports, following company reporting standards for consideration by our clients.
Communicate in a timely and effective manner as necessary to progress the claim.
Utilise company claims management and accounting systems.
Contribute to company growth and development by marketing the services provided in accordance company/management guidelines.
What you should have:
The ability to travel at short notice internationally.
Experienced in heavy aircraft maintenance and structural repairs.
Knowledge of aircraft engines and their operation and repair.
Licenced Aircraft Engineer to B1 or B2 level, or equivalent.
Management experience.
Knowledge of aircraft maintenance and repair costings.
Ability to write technical reports.
Experienced with the Microsoft office suite.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage your own workload.
