If so, we are looking for an Associate Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to join our team in London providing a comprehensive, accurate and value driven service across a variety of high profile and exciting projects for key clients. Our Team in London consists of 130 cost managers, working across various sectors and is part of our wider 500 strong UK+I Cost Management team.
We are friendly, busy and motivated with an established track record of successfully delivering local and overseas projects.

No1 Undershaft, Bloomberg HQ, The Shard, Soho Place, 100 Bishopsgate, White Collar Factor, Battersea Power Station Phase 3, Greenwich Peninsula, Apple HQ, Tate Modern, working with Clients such as Derwent London, Land Securities, British Land, Knight Dragon and Sellar in London to name but a few.
Job Responsibilities:
As an Associate Cost Manager working within the wider team, you will lead and deliver in all aspects of cost management and quantity surveying from project inception to completion. You will work with an Associate or Director to successfully manage and deliver a number of projects, varying in complexity and value. You will drive performance standards through expert communication and effective use of the performance management process. Maintain and develop good relationships with clients, take every opportunity to uphold and increase the profile of the firm as a provider of professional, premium quality services to the construction industry. You will also be responsible for managing and mentoring junior staff to deliver our Cost Management service efficiently and effectively. Core responsibilities include:
Feasibility estimates
Procurement advice
Cost planning
Value and risk management
Post contract management
Change Management
JCT/ NEC Contract Administration
Fee generation
JCT/ NEC Contract Administration
Fee generation
Minimum Requirements:
New Build Commercial Office /Residential / Mixed-use experience would be advantageous.
Understanding of a variety of project types/sizes/sectors.
Good working knowledge & understanding of JCT suite of contracts, particularly the Professional Services
Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on cost, value and risk, not just cost in isolation.
Excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills.
Experience of working as part of integrated, multi-organisation, collaborative teams
Preferred Experience:
A clear work history and proof of professional development and learning
Ability to manage multiple projects for a variety of private sector clients.
Prior line-management experience
Qualifications
Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management
Professionally Qualified – ideally Chartered Quantity Surveying Status with the RICS, CIOB or other equivalent institutions
