Description We are offering an opportunity for a meticulous Sr. Accountant to join our team based in Lombard, Illinois. Your primary role will focus on payroll reconciliation and you will work closely with other departments to ensure accuracy and efficiency in our financial operations. The role is situated in the telecom industry and is a temporary position.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular payroll reconciliation processes to ensure data integrity after the merger

• Participate in the integration of financial systems and transition of payroll function post-merger

• Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports to summarize the company's financial position

• Audit financial documents and procedures, reconcile bank statements, and calculate tax payments

• Prepare periodic reports comparing budgeted costs to actual costs

• Assist with financial planning, budget control, and accounting strategies

• Collaborate with HR and other departments to align and merge payroll procedures and the subsequent reconciliation involved

• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

• Utilize skills such as Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, JDE EnterpriseOne, Cash Reconciliations in daily tasks. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations

• Strong knowledge of General Ledger management and Journal Entries

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with month end close procedures

• Familiarity with JDE EnterpriseOne software

• Experience in cash reconciliations

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field preferred

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity

• Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner.
