In this direct-hire

role,you'll lead a team of five experienced buyers

and work closely with site managers to optimize supply chain processes,enhance vendor relationships

,and ensure seamless operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills,cross-functional collaboration experience,and deep industry knowledge,particularly in EMS (Environmental Management System) or electronics manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Lead & Develop Build and guide a high-performing team across Purchasing,Planning,and Inventory Control,ensuring alignment with company goals.

Drive Supply Chain Excellence Implement strategic supply chain initiatives to improve efficiency,reduce costs,and ensure on-time delivery.

Vendor & Supplier Management Oversee contracts,negotiate pricing,improve supplier performance,and manage vendor relationships.

Regulatory Compliance Ensure adherence to ITAR,FAR/DFAR,and other international trade regulations.

KPI & Performance Tracking Develop and monitor supply chain metrics,continuously improving processes and inventory accuracy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with site managers,engineering,quality assurance,and leadership teams to support operational success.

Continuous Improvement Foster a culture of lean manufacturing principles and innovation.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 5 years in supply chain,purchasing,or inventory control (10+ years preferred),ideally in manufacturing,aerospace,or electronics industries.

Leadership: Strong experience in team management and development,with a passion for mentoring and driving performance.

Industry Knowledge: Background in Electronics Manufacturing,EMS,or Supply Chain Management. Experience at companies like Celestica,Jabil,Flextronics,Thermo,Cytiva,or SDL is a huge plus!

Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems,Microsoft Office (Excel,Outlook,Teams),and data analysis for inventory planning and purchasing.

Strategic Thinker: Ability to drive process improvements,optimize supply chain functions,and develop innovative solutions.

Communication & Negotiation: Excellent ability to manage supplier contracts,resolve issues,and build strong internal and external partnerships.

Certif ications: Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt),APICS (CPIM,CPSM,CSCP) a plus!

Security Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance (Visa sponsorship is not available).
