Platform Software Engineer

Job Summary

Assist in selection and adaptation of operating system(s) for our line of ultra-rugged handheld computers. Develop and debug low level kernel and device driver code to create interface between hardware and operating system. Develop applications, control panels and settings to allow users access to custom features of the product. Integrate various software components from third parties, or those developed in-house, into an operating system image whose feature set meets a wide variety of customer needs. Experience with operating system hardware abstraction layer development is a plus.
