Ford Motor Company Team Manager-Production Off Shift in Livonia, Michigan

In this position...

The role of Launch Manager is responsible for the management and oversight of launch. The successful candidate is responsible for delivering departmental scorecard objectives pertaining to people, safety, quality, and flow; maintaining standardization while implementing continuous improvement actions while containing and communicating irregularities. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting a positive environment of culture, communication and employee recognition.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma

  • Experience:

  • Production experience – minimum of 5 years in fast-paced, high-volume facility

  • Strong ability to interface with plant hourly, salaried personnel and plant management

  • Strong ability to present in front of plant management

  • Ability to teach Ford Production System principles

  • Union negotiations experience

  • Competent in the use of data for decision making

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to resolve diverse problems

  • Need to work well under pressure and to be able to work under crisis management when necessary

  • Having the ability to work and multi-task in fast pace environment

  • Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership in One FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills

Preferred Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree

  • Experience:

  • Sr. Process Coach experience

  • 6-sigma designation preferred (Green Belt or Black Belt)

  • Strong analytical skills and quick decision-making capability preferred

  • Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook)

What you'll do...

  • Maintain a safe work environment and team behavior

  • Responsible for both Assembly and Machining operations on the off-shift

  • Confirm standards are in place

  • Meet production requirements

  • Support issues raised by the teams and drive to closure

  • Plan and manage changes to the production system

  • Communication and Recognition

  • Develop highly competent and motivated people

  • Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks

  • Ensure completion of administrative responsibilities

This position is a leadership salary grade LL6.
