Ford Motor Company Product Development Engineer - RWD Transmission Systems in Livonia, Michigan

In this position...

  • Manage milestone cadence within GPDS parameters.

  • Lead milestone assessments, presentations (up to Director level), and evidence management.

  • Lead or support TPMT (Transmission Product Management Team) for your commodity.

What you'll do...

  • Act as transmission lead/SPOC in Vehicle program meetings.

  • Collect and enter Integrator assessments.

  • Provide Finance, Purchasing, Planning and Manufacturing team support.

  • Coordinate with Team of Four groups.

  • Manage BOM/FEDE-BOM/e3P

  • Support WERS release

  • Support Manufacturing and Capacity Planning PAT’s.

  • Coordinate with Transmission Systems Engineers on resolution of all Program issues.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline (mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, etc.).

  • 2+ years of professional experience in an automotive transmission design and engineering environment.

  • Strong leadership skills – inherent self-starter, self-motivated, with strong drive for results.

  • Project management skills - Capable of managing projects by looking both at the big picture objectives and at detail administration to achieve these objectives.

  • Strong oral/written communication skills to lead group projects, issue resolution, and management reviews.

  • Proficiency in MS Office/Outlook: Excel; Word, PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge of WERS, Integrator, FEDE, AIMS, e3p, Team Center.

This position is a range of salary grades 5-8 .
