The Security Technician will primarily work at the various local sites and will respond to the ongoing maintenance and new installation of our security systems. The Security Technician will also assist in situations, supporting other departments at various sites as needed, supporting security-related investigations, responding to emergencies, coordinating project installations, conducting audits (systems, buildings, access, etc.), and troubleshooting physical and technological issues.As a Facilities Security Technician, you will be responsible for:Maintenance, and troubleshooting of access systems, alarms, and surveillance systems, including installation management of security-related installation projects. Capable of running and diagnosing issues with structured and low voltage Cabling. Ability to read and understand schematic plansConduct security-related risk assessments based on site visits and report back deficienciesParticipate in investigations and prepare reports for on-site incidents, internal investigations, losses, and/or violations of security policiesAssist Security Coordinator in Supporting Operations and/or Human Resources with security staffing and/or any contracted security needsConduct, document, and report out on security audits for buildings, perimeters, and departmentsTrack metrics and regularly report metrics to the Security CoordinatorResponsible for updating Security Coordinator on the status of all work performedTo be considered as a Facilities Security Technician, you will need:Minimum high school diploma or equivalentMinimum 2 years of security-related work experience (corporate security, military, law enforcement)Valid driver's license with safe driving record and able to pass pre-employment background checkAbility to communicate on a highly professional level, in both written and verbal formsComfortable with public speaking to various audiences including presenting metrics, proposing plans, and providing training and instructionStrong computer skills with MS Office suite, including ability to learn new software (surveillance, card access, etc.)Ability to prioritize work, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines with attention to detailA successful candidate may also have: Training/experience relating to enterprise security risk management, workplace violence, emergency procedures, ICS, cyber security awareness, asset protection, social engineering conflict resolution, de-escalation, defensive tactics, etc.Familiarity with governmental and professional organizations (DHS, CISA, FEMA, ASIS, etc.)Familiarity with Avigilon surveillance camera systems, AMAG card access, and PeopleSoft Financial and HR applications preferredAbility to read site plans, blueprints/as-builts, etc.Basic project management skills If you share our passion for providing innovative solutions to complex challenges, we want yo
