Description:

The Director, Ambulatory Surgery Business Development is a driver of Ambulatory Surgery Center growth throughout the organization. Directs, deploys & executes the strategies in support of system priorities and strategy. Participates in the development and implementation of short-term and long-range goals, objectives and operational plans which will enable Trinity Health to successfully carryout its strategic growth plans. Collaborate with RHM’s to ensure consistency and implementation of key ASC strategies, focused on growth and physician partnership. Maintaining awareness of new industry developments & standards. Provides decision support &/or optimization leadership focus.

Leadership

•Providing guidance to and partnering with leadership in the RHMs to develop strategies and in the achievement of growth and operational outcomes.

•Partners with strategy and finance leadership at system office and RHMs to optimize the approach to ASC business development.

•Provides leadership and guidance to leadership teams, fostering collaborative planning, innovation and decision-making.

•Seeks out, embraces and capitalizes on the advantages of regional and system resources, diversity, scale, replication opportunities, people and intellectual capital.

Direction and Growth

•Provides executive leadership ensuring the achievement of financial, and strategic plans with a focus on growth initiatives within the Ambulatory Surgery Center space.

•Owns and is accountable for organic top-line growth via increased volume, strategic service line growth, new physician recruitment, and increasing volume from existing physicians

•Initiates, develops and maintains strong physician relationships to support top-line growth, and trust/confidence in Trinity Health.

•Recommends, develops and executes short- and long-term strategic plans for acquisitions/denovo opportunities in the Ambulatory Surgery Center space on JV syndications in Ambulatory Surgery Centers

•Partners with VP of Ambulatory Surgery and RHM Leadership to develop and execute various growth initiatives.

•Evaluates competitive landscape and creates strong business case for growth opportunities in the Ambulatory Surgery Center space.

•Focuses on tasks that will enable a steady and consistent business development pipeline.

Strategic Support & Accountability

•Partners with VP of Ambulatory Surgery to implement and maintains annual strategic business plans that best serves the system and the local market dynamics

•Partner with system and RHM strategy teams to oversee the diligence process and ensure smooth deal closures

•Understands key operational and financial metrics and their application to the development process

•Fosters relationships with system and RHM leadership and external stakeholders, as well as other team members

Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, state & local laws/regulations including Certificate of Need; Trinity Health Integrity & Compliance Program & Code of conduct, as well as other policies & procedures to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical & professional behavior.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from a nationally recognized accrediting agency.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience required, healthcare experience preferred

Valid driver’s license where required by assignment
