Job Overview:

In collaboration with the Program Director and/or Department/Division Manager, manages and administers the department/division's residency/fellowship training program in accordance with department/GME Graduate Medical Education policies.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• The candidate must possess a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.

• She/he must be able to perform multiple duties simultaneously with some degree of flexibility

• Minimum of 1 year of residency program or student clerkship experience or 3-5 years of office administration experience, preferably in a healthcare and/or education setting

Preferred:

• College Degree

Scheduling Requirements:

• Working Shift, Monday-Friday

• Day Shift

• Full-Time, 37.5 Hours Per Week

Essential Functions:

• Develops and manages plans/processes on a yearly planning and implementation cycle that supports department/GME requirements to ensure compliance including recruitment and onboarding of house staff, maintenance of medical education databases and completion of projects, with a significant focus on process improvement

• Responsible for development and management of educational and social programs for Residents and Fellows in accordance with established priorities, time and funding limitations

• Maintains and monitor program related budgets, work to identify funding sources for educational activities and recommends capital and funding requests for future programmatic needs

• Manages internal and external program relations, communication and advanced problem solving with faculty and house staff to ensure smooth communications and effective and efficient coordination of GME training programs
