Qualifications:
Required:
Graduate from an accredited school or university
Completion of all Orientation requirements of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center
Successful completion of all orientation programs
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree
1 - 2 years experience in Pediatrics in an acute care setting
Certifications and Licenses Required:
Current Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association upon hire
PALS certification within 6 months of hire from the American Heart Association
Must be I.V. certified from an approved facility or completion of requirements for I.V. certification within 90 days of hire to unit

Evening/Nights
12.5 Hr. Shifts
37.5 hrs. Weekly
Essential Functions:
Organize and administers individualized age specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. Supports philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing. Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies. Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in Unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.
