Young & Franklin / Tactair Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Liverpool, New York
Summary:Work collaboratively across the organization to provide technical knowledge and project leadership to support product development. Plan, lead, execute and report on the design of new product development programs. This position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A degree of creativity and latitude is required. Key Position Requirements:Perform calculations in fluid mechanics, strength of materials, dynamics, stress and heat transferDevelop mathematical models of mechanical systems using software such as Matlab®, Ansys® and Autodesk Inventor®Act as the engineer of record for development projectsReview customer specifications and generate compliance assessmentsDevelop product test specificationsProvide leadership, including resource planning, budgeting and communication to management, suppliers and customersProvide technical leadership to team of engineers and designersManage multiple activities and workload consistently with schedule and target datesAct as primary contact for product engineering support to operationsQualifications:This position requires either a US Person (as defined in applicable export regulations) or a non-US person who is eligible to obtain required export authorizationBachelor’s Degree, Mechanical EngineeringStrong mechanical aptitude5 - 10 years of experience in engineering design, development or testExperience collaborating in a team environmentWillingness to travel on a limited basis Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer, including disabled and veterans
Minimum Salary: 90,000 Maximum Salary: 150,000 Salary Unit: Yearly
