Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Livermore, California

Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk based in Livermore, California. You will play an integral role in our finance team, ensuring accuracy in financial records and supporting the smooth functioning of the finance department. The position involves processing invoices, reconciling vendor accounts, and working closely with the Purchasing Department to verify quotes and pricing. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately review, verify, and process invoices received from vendors and suppliers

• Work with our Purchasing Agent to match invoices with purchase orders and ensure that the details align with the goods or services received

• Input invoice data into the accounting system, maintaining high levels of accuracy and completeness

• Communicate professionally with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies, payment status, and other payment-related inquiries

• Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts payable records to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies promptly

• Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies and proper documentation

• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions and related documentation

• Comply with all relevant accounting principles, company policies, and legal requirements pertaining to accounting functions

• Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the accounts payable process.

• Knowledge and experience with accounts payable procedures

• Ability to perform check runs and coding invoices

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred

• Familiarity with financial regulations and accounting principles.
