Lockheed Martin Software Engineer - Clearance Required in Littleton, Colorado

As part of the Spectrum Convergence team, the engineer will be part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team on the Trusted Security Solutions (TSS) Program.

THE WORK

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is looking for production professionals to work on Cross-Domain Solution (CDS) products that protect and defend the information flow of critical and time sensitive data on many military applications and networks. This position for a Software Engineer (SW) on the Radiant Mercury program. Radiant Mercury is the US Navy's premier Cross Domain Solution (CDS), and LM has been the prime contractor for over 20 years.

As part of the SW Team, you will ensure software development standards are met and implemented.

The primary work location is at the Deer Creek Facility (DCF) in Littleton Colorado with limited ability to work remotely. The Candidate will be required to come into the site to conduct their work. Travel may be required for this position.

RESPONSIBLITIES

The selected candidate will be executing software development and programming primarily in C++ and JAVA, in a team environment potentially supporting multiple projects or task orders supporting the maintenance, modernization and capability upgrades to multiple software products developed and sustained by this program. Responsible for design, implementation and testing of new features and defects. Collaborate closely with project management, systems engineers, systems integration and test engineers as well as fellow software engineers. The program is seeking a Candidate that also possess the ability to assist with the implementation and management of a software control environment utilizing DevSecOps methodologies to enable highly efficient and productive software development processes and workflows through automation and complex problem solving. Contribute to achieving multiple project objectives utilizing technical skills, implementing industry best practices, and collaborating with colleagues, contractors, and customers.

Basic Qualifications:

- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance; ability to obtain a final TS/SCI Clearance

- Travel may be required to fulfil duties

- Experience developing Java, C++ and/or Python.

- Experience using common development tools such as Git, VS Code, Linux, GitLab, Jira and Confluence

- Exposure/experience with modern software development practices including secure coding, test driven development and object-oriented design/programming.

- Knowledge of networking

Desired Skills:

- Effective oral and written communication skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Secret level clearance; Top Secret preferred

- Agile/Scrum experience

- Experience with System Administration

- Experience with SE Linux

- Experience with software development on

security focused products.

- Knowledge or experience with Cross Domain Solutions and Raise the Bar standards.

- Experience installing or developing a Cross Domain Solution (CDS)

- Hold a DoD 8570-m Certification (Security+)

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $70,500 - $135,000. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
