Job Duties and Responsibilities

DISH Wireless seeks a Senior E911 Operations Engineer to join its Regulatory Engineering and Operations team, reporting to the Head of Regulated Services. Responsibilities include monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting E911 Emergency Services, ensuring compliance with FCC regulations. Ideal candidates will have expertise in wireless E911 technologies, including 4G (LTE) and 5G (NR) call flows, and familiarity with Location-Based Services (LBS) technologies.

In this role, you will:

  • Monitor and maintain E911 system stability and performance.

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues, collaborating with internal teams and vendors.

  • Implement system enhancements and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Document processes and procedures, participate in Root Cause Analysis reviews, and contribute to E911 roadmap planning.

  • Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for E911 performance and compliance.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

As a successful Senior 911 Operations Engineer, you will have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Telecommunications, or relevant fields, with at least 5 years of wireless engineering or operations experience, or equivalent job experience.

  • Strong technical expertise in emergency communication, E911 and LBS systems, and telecommunications networks, with a focus on compliance with FCC Rules and Regulations.

  • Demonstrated career progression and skill development.

  • Effective communication and critical thinking skills, serving as a technical consultant for other teams.

  • Availability for periodic maintenance, on-call duties, and oversight of network change management and testing.

  • Understanding of E911 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for performance tracking and reporting, incident management, and Root Cause Analysis.

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent testing and troubleshooting efforts independently.

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $137,500.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
