Job Duties and Responsibilities

DISH Wireless is looking for a Field Engineering Operations Manager with experience managing teams to help build our 5G network.

The Field Engineering Operations Manager will oversee integration readiness, site security, and network operations for DISH Wireless. They will inform management about market requirements, manage field engineers and operational staff, and ensure vendor preparedness for network incidents. The role is responsible for network in-service metrics and customer accessibility. Additionally, they will ensure all completed network nodes are integration ready, stable, and impairment-free during all phases of the network launch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee network operations, including staffing levels.

  • Lead a diverse team, focusing on resource planning, performance management, and development.

  • Manage vendor partnerships for operational, integration, and maintenance support.

  • Guide short- and long-term network functionality and operational practices.

  • Develop operational policies and processes for best-in-class network services.

  • Manage the deployed radio network, including maintenance and necessary upgrades.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • 10 + years of Wireless Network Operations experience; especially in wireless infrastructure and large-scale programs

  • 5+ years in progressively broader management roles, managing multiple groups, departments, and teams

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous environment of building a greenfield 5G network.

  • Executive presence with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% domestically.

  • Flexible to work nonstandard hours as needed.

  • Skilled in leading project and team meetings, setting priorities, and agendas.

  • Proficient in monitoring performance, coaching, and providing feedback.

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $83,950.00/Year - $119,900.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
