We are seeking a skilled API Integration Tester to join our team and ensure the seamless integration and functionality of our APIs.

Job Description:

As an API Integration Tester, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing tests to ensure our APIs meet performance, reliability, and security standards. You will work closely with our development team to identify and resolve any issues, ensuring our APIs function as intended.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement tests for APIs based on software requirements and user needs.

  • Execute API test cases and analyze results to report on any defects or issues.

  • Identify and track API defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues.

  • Collaborate with developers to fix and improve problematic APIs.

  • Develop tools, frameworks, and methodologies to ensure effective testing of APIs.

  • Understand API documentation to create appropriate test cases.

  • Validate that API endpoints send and retrieve data as expected.

  • Ensure API testing is integrated with software build and deployment processes.

  • Check API security measures to identify vulnerabilities or weaknesses.

  • Provide feedback and recommendations to developers about API design, usability, and functionality.

Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as an API Tester or similar role in software development.

  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar.

  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and workflows.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.

  • Knowledge of cloud services and API management platforms.

  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools.

The base salary range for this position is Min $91,457 Mid $125,754 Max $137,186 , plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies. Benefits available to eligible employees in this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, comprehensive employee assistance program, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off and holidays.
