Description

Patient Interaction:

  • Greet patients and visitors with a warm and professional demeanor.

  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-ins and check-outs.

  • Assist patients with filling out necessary forms and ensure all required documentation is complete.

Administrative Duties:

  • Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Verify patient insurance information and process claims.

  • Handle billing and payment processing, including collecting co-pays and managing account balances.

  • Coordinate with other medical professionals and departments to schedule procedures and consultations.

Office Coordination:

  • Maintain the front office area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and welcoming.

  • Order and manage office supplies and equipment.

  • Prepare and distribute daily schedules and ensure timely communication of any changes.

  • Assist in organizing and coordinating office events, meetings, and training sessions.

Customer Service:

  • Address patient inquiries and concerns promptly and courteously.

  • Provide information about office services, procedures, and policies.

  • Follow up with patients regarding appointments, reminders, and any necessary instructions.

Compliance and Confidentiality:

  • Ensure compliance with all medical and office regulations, including HIPAA.

  • Protect patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

    Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in office administration or medical assisting is a plus.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office or similar setting.

Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and office management software.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle stressful situations with a calm demeanor.

Knowledge of medical terminology and prosthetics is preferred.

Bilingual skills are a plus.
