Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Project Accountant in Little Rock, Arkansas. This role involves performing a variety of accounting functions within the construction industry, with a focus on project accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare comprehensive construction cost estimations

• Execute quantity take-offs and calculations accurately

• Provide ongoing support to Project Management teams throughout projects

• Foster and maintain strong relationships with contractors and key vendors

• Conduct site visits, warehouse assessments, and other necessary venues for estimation

• Utilize accounting software systems and tools like Costpoint for efficient project management

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) as part of general accounting functions

• Conduct auditing tasks related to construction accounting

• Collaborate with team members to resolve problems and ensure smooth project execution

• Be willing to travel for site visits and perform outdoor site walks under various weather conditions

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential

• Prior experience with Costpoint is required

• Ability to perform various Accounting Functions efficiently

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Auditing procedures

• Knowledge of Construction Accounting is an advantage

• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports

• Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
