Responsibilities

Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the development, Implementation and integration functions, systems and processes that facilitate organizational excellence. Areas included in the oversight are: education, infection control, patient safety, risk management, credentialing, regulatory compliance, data management, and our electronic medical record system.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

  • Assure accurate and timely collection, analysis, and submission of data to regulatory and quality improvement system/agencies and internal committees

  • Organizes the medical staff peer review process

  • Serves as the organizational leader in managing risk through the coordination and maintenance of risk programs (CRIMP, IRIS, Orchard, Safety First)

  • Supervision of Electronic health record Staff, Case manager, social worker, nurse educator, credentialing specialist and infection control nurse in their clinical activity, ongoing education, participation in performance Improvement projects, consultant activities

  • Establishes policy and procedures for the department in accordance with Joint Commission, state and federal regulations, nursing scopes of practice and hospital administration guidelines to assure safety and service for our patients

  • Assures Patient Experience Standards of care are followed by all staff

  • Responsible for budgeting, daily operation, staffing, and follow productivity standards of the organization

  • Establishes quality reporting to all Committees

  • Responsible for the Quality and Value Committee

  • Serves in a multi-disciplinary capacity providing general services to a wide variety of populations including pediatric, medical, surgical, chemotherapy, ambulatory, orthopedic, geriatric, post-partum and nursery

  • Represent CHI in community events, activities or board memberships as requested by administration, as part of our Community Benefit Program

  • Communicate issues with the Vice President of Patient Care on a regular and as needed basis

Qualifications

Graduate from accredited school of nursing with BSN

Active RN licensure in State of Minnesota

Minimum three years in a hospital setting and 1 year in quality improvement management

Preferred

Master's Degree

Leadership experience

Pay Range

$35.12 - $50.92 /hour
