Volt LAB Research Chemist/Physicist/Engineer II in Little Canada, Minnesota
Volt is immediately hiring a Lab Research Chemist Engineer in Maplewood, MN with a well-known industry leader. The person hired for this opportunity will be responsible for Analytical and Mechanical testing in a Lab Environment. This is a first shift, full-time contingent opportunity. As a Lab Research Chemist Engineer, you will:
- Work with moderate work direction, and can identify issues/problems but may need assistance in resolving.
- Assume responsibility for initiating and performing defined technical activities leading to new or improve products, processes or technologies on a program basis.
- Initiating and completing technical activities leading to new or improved products or processes which have significant impact potential at a program level.
- Establish and cultivate a network of support (laboratory, manufacturing, engineering sales and marketing) to facilitate completion of assignments.
- Participate in project planning, and documents experimental data/observations in technical notebooks (or approved electronic files), prepares reports, and makes oral presentations.
- May also be required to provide technical supervision/management of other contingent technical workers.
Estimated Duration up to 24 months. The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering Field
- Analytical/Mechanical testing of advanced materials,
- Good communication - ability to perform tasks based off conversation or communication received directly.
