JOB OVERVIEW

As Communications Specialist , you will support key KONE Americas strategic priorities and operational effectiveness by working collaboratively with leaders, staff and external partners to support both new and current communications campaigns, in particular for KONE Mexico and Canada. Responsible for supporting KONE America’s goals by developing and implementing communication campaign strategies, planning, writing copy, and executing employee and external communications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implements communications strategies for KONE Americas. Prepare in-depth editorial content including, news and organizational change content, infographics, branded presentation decks, newsletters, webcasts, and other channels to best engage our employees, in support of Americas, particularly Mexico and Canada

  • Administers and stewards KONE Americas web platform for employee communications that includes but is not limited to: content layout, debugging HTML, testing, analyzing and reporting.

  • Maintains web content management system for intranet website and digital communication, which includes but is not limited to: planning, design, testing, daily content maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, integrations, database repositories and forms.

  • Facilitates and contributes to comprehensive digital communication strategies for KONE Americas internal and external communications channels. Identifies, interprets and implements emerging trends and tracking tools, to more efficiently and effectively achieve business goals.

  • Work with KONE Americas and KONE global communications departments to implement annual communications plan according to policy and practices developed for KONE Americas. Coordinate integration of communications strategy across all channels, writes copy, works with designer on layout (or directly performs layout), proofs work and ensures quality communications are sent out.

  • This role will also monitor digital performance and KPI’s to ensure we continually achieve and exceed targets while maintaining a positive return on our investment. This individual will facilitate project management as it relates to the key aspects; communication, understanding, timing, cost and analysis as well as supporting and managing ad-hoc communications projects.

  • Lead project stakeholders on content, design, and digital communications professionals and outside vendors to ensure compliance with KONE guidelines, as well as improving the functionality of our channels.

  • Oversee web and digital communication software tools and ownership, including advising IT of best practices with webcasts and acting as a SharePoint Superuser for all the organization.

  • Provides support to KONE Americas senior leaders for digital and written projects and special initiatives.

HIRING REQUIREMENTS

  • Education : Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, PR, Communications, Marketing, Digital Communications.

  • Experience : 5-7 years of experience working in relevant field.

  • Intermediate to advanced skills with MS Office tools and applications, including data analytics.

  • Proficient in analytical tools for communications, relating results to business goals.

  • Strong writing and oral communication skills (AP style journalism).

  • Change communication plan design and execution experience.

  • Print, web and email design expertise, executing engaging communication in a variety of channels (content development tools, required).

  • Exceptional writing and technical skills.

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

  • Proficiency in google analytics, Hootesuite, Bananatag and other measurement tools.

  • Knowledge in techniques, such as HTML, responsive website layout, etc. and experience developing content using a Content Management System (SharePoint, Drupal, Wordpress, Sitecore, Weekly

  • Language Fluency: Spanish (required). Canadian French (a plus).
