We are seeking an Asset Management Engineer to join the Ardmore Roderick team and assist the Tollway and it’s GEC (General Engineering Consultant) staff on inspecting and reporting on their extensive inventory and assets. The following duties, responsibilities and qualifications are associated with this position:

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Perform pavement and other inspections in compliance with Illinois Tollway standards and manuals.

· Develop conceptual repair plans and cost estimates and log into cloud database.

· Support the monitoring of the condition of Illinois Tollway assets, including Pavement, Roadside Safety Appurtenances, Bridges, Walls, Sign Structures, Facilities, ITS Devices, Toll Equipment, Drainage Systems, Bioswales, and Detention Basins.

· Prepare annual condition summary reports.

· Preform field inspection of infrastructure to document and report findings.

· Assist with the production of maps, basic reports, and other supporting documentation.

· Assist with preparing and updating engineering calculations to be used in reports.

· Assists with preparation for client and project meetings.

· Update and provide input on the development of the Enterprise Asset Management System.

· Provide basic guidance and informal training to less experienced personnel.

Experience Qualifications:

· Demonstrate a strong understanding of pavement engineering principles.

· Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Materials Engineering from an accredited U.S. institution.

· 4+ years of design or construction experience.

· Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.

· Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Intermediate skills using various Microsoft Office programs with the ability to produce high quality design documents, exhibits, computations, and reports.

· Ability to efficiently work independently within a multi-disciplinary team and prioritize project assignments to meet competing deadlines.

· Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Coursework related to transportation design and materials engineering or similar fields.

· Engineering License (PE).

· Familiarity with ArcGIS, CADD, or Enterprise Asset Management Systems.
