WHAT YOU WILL DO

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. The Senior technical lead is a bridge between the technical aspects of software development and the broader project goals. You ensure that the technical implementation aligns with the project's requirements, timelines, and quality standards while fostering a collaborative and supportive environment within the development team.

You will be involved in defining the architecture of the software system. This includes designing the overall structure, choosing the technical approach and frameworks, and creating prototypes or proofs of concept to Minimum Valuable product & implementing new product features. You will be responsible for making high-level design choices, setting technical standards, and ensuring that the team follows best practices and coding guidelines.

You will specifically focus on Field Engagement capabilities. Amgen is using fully integrated and best in class technologies, having Salesforce.com as core architecture & relying on business capabilities enablers such as Veeva CRM, Veeva Vault, Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Our Customer Engagement Team, part of Global Commercial and Operation DTI, is critical in supporting Customer Engagement Excellence at Amgen. We are functioning as a product team, delivering product features in an agile manner, focusing on most business added values. Our operating activities are organized via a DevOps model in a global environment.

Your role as technical lead in software development is crucial to the success of our projects.

Here are some key aspects of your responsibilities:

Technical Guidance and Oversight : Provides technical expertise and guidance to the development team. Responsible for making high-level design choices, setting technical standards, and ensuring that the team follows best practices and coding guidelines.

Architecture and Design : Be involved in defining the architecture of the software system. This includes designing the overall structure, frameworks, Procedures, Triger, test class and creating prototypes, proofs of concept, to MVP and new product features.

Code Reviews and Quality Assurance : Review code to ensure it meets quality standards, performance goals, and is maintainable. Provide feedback to team members and mentor them to improve coding practices.

Problem Solving and Troubleshooting : When complex technical issues arise, the technical lead plays a key role in diagnosing problems, proposing solutions, and guiding the team in resolving them efficiently.

Team Collaboration and Leadership : Collaborate closely with other team members, project managers, and stakeholders. Technical leads often act as mentors to junior developers, helping them grow their technical skills and contributing to a positive team culture.

Project Planning and Estimation : Participate in Agile planning sessions, helping to break down requirements into user stories, into tasks, estimate effort and timelines, and identify technical risks.

Communication : Effective communication is essential. Technical leads often need to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, report progress, and manage expectations regarding technical deliverables.

Continuous Learning and Improvement : Staying updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices is important for a technical lead. They often lead by example in adopting new tools and techniques that can improve productivity, efficiency and quality.

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

Required experience and skills:

  • Ideally an experienced +3 years as software Engineer either in Salesforce.com or Veeva CRM

  • Ability to translate business requirement into system technical specifications

  • Proficiency in Salesforce Administrative tasks like creating Profiles, Roles, Users, Page Layouts, Approvals, Workflows, Validation rules, Reports, Dashboards and Tasks.

  • Experience in End-to-End system integration processes

  • Experience with DevOps processes

  • Experience is leading a development team

  • Experiences in Configuration and release management.

  • Must be a good communicator and analytical skills.

  • Attentive to quality delivery and customer centric.
